About

This site is intended as an open, free resource on the subject of Radiation Thermometry. Measurement Practices, Spectral Emissivity (Spectral Emittance) & more. The subject databases are open and free as is the newsfeed.

It was initially developed by me on the MeasurementMedia Network, a division of Temperatures.com, Inc. (those sites are long closed and some of the domain names have been sold).
The initial content is from them, but it is expected that others will join in the effort to provide a Web wide catalog of resources and data for all.

You are welcome to join and contribute at any time. There is no fee and all contributors are given credit or attribution. However, all inputs are subject to review and editing and may not be accepted.

However, we do not welcome spammers or hackers and will do everything within our ability to keep such actions from this site and to permanently ban those who participate in them .

After all, that is the vision of the founders of the Web, openness and a positive attitude towards sharing knowledge. I expect to keep the site running in its niche for as long as possible.
