The Infrared Training Center is now offering an online Elevated Skin Temperature (EST) screening course for anyone using thermal imaging for this application. While infrared cameras cannot confirm the presence of a fever or virus, they are utilized to help prevent the spread of communicable conditions by identifying individuals who may have a high skin temperature.
These readings can then be used to initiate secondary screening, if needed, to verify whether the subject has a fever.
